Jason D. Givan, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Fellowship-Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon
Jason Givan earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2002, completed an internal medicine internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV in 2005, and completed a dermatology residency at Saint Louis University Hospital in 2009. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the University of Massachusetts in 2010.
Following his training, he joined the academic faculty of the University of Massachusetts, before moving to Lynchburg in 2011 where he began practicing as the only Mohs micrographic surgeon in the Lynchburg area. Most recently, he opened a new practice, RidgeView Dermatology, which has grown quickly and brought 3 new providers to the community.
Dr. Givan treats all varieties of skin cancer and performs a specialized surgical procedure called Mohs micrographic surgery. Mohs surgery offers patients the highest cure rate for common types of skin cancer, such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. This technique allows the trained surgeon to precisely remove the cancer, while conserving the normal surrounding skin. The end result of this technique is the smallest scar possible with the lowest risk of the cancer returning.
Samantha E. Hill, MD, FAAD

Samantha Hill earned her medical degree from The Medical College of Wisconsin in 2003, completed a pediatric internship and residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio in 2006, and completed a dermatology residency at Saint Louis University Hospital in 2009. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 2010.
Following her training, she joined the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin where she practiced at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. In 2014, Dr. Hill moved to Lynchburg from Austin, TX, where she was on faculty with ’Specially for Children and Dell Children’s Medical Center and was Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology in the UT-Southwestern Medical School Department of Dermatology. In 2013, she was awarded the Texas Monthly’s Super Doctors “Rising Stars” award.
Dr. Hill treats a variety of skin diseases in children and adolescents and specializes in surgical and procedural dermatology as well as the treatment of hyperhidrosis.
For the past 14 years, she has been a passionate volunteer with Camp Discovery, a summer camp program through the American Academy of Dermatology for children with severe skin disease, and has been medical director for the past 4 summers. She also volunteers with Camp Spirit, a skiing and winter adventure camp for children with a severe blistering skin disorder, that takes place in Winter Park, CO.
Carrie Cobb, MD, FAAD

Carrie Cobb received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude from the University in 2006. She completed her residency in Dermatology at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson, Cooper University Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year, 2010.
Following her training, Dr. Cobb joined a private practice in Annapolis, MD, where she worked until moving to Lynchburg in 2014. While working in Annapolis, Dr. Cobb was voted by the community as a “Top Doc” in 2012 and 2013.
Dr .Cobb provides comprehensive dermatologic care for her patients and enjoys treating a variety of skin conditions. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Cobb and her family live in Lynchburg and enjoy spending time outdoors.
Kristen Kuk, MD
Dr. Kuk earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. She worked in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland until 2011. After moving to Lynchburg and taking a break from clinical practice to stay home with her young family, she decided to return to medicine in the field of medical aesthetics. She has maintained an active medical license and has focused her CME on aesthetics, including training in laser and injectables. Dr. Kuk lives in Lynchburg with her husband and four daughters
Alexis Chantal, PA-C
Alexis Chantal completed an undergraduate degree in the pre-physician assistant program at Lock Haven University, where she then went on to pursue and earn her master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2004. She completed additional training in Dermatology in 2014 when she became a Diplomat in the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Following her training, she moved to upstate New York and worked in internal medicine for two years. She moved to Lynchburg in the spring of 2006. She has been working in Dermatology for the last 9 years and joined Ridgeview Dermatology in August of 2014.
She enjoys treating a variety of dermatologic conditions and establishing a lasting relationship with her patients.
Jamie Martin, PA-C
Jamie Martin received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then went on to complete her Masters in Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. As a Franklin County native, Jamie moved back to Glade Hill and started her career in Family Practice in Gretna, Virginia. Since joining the RidgeView Dermatology team in March of 2016, she has enjoyed a successful transition into specialty practice and looks forward to continuing to serve the greater Smith Mountain Lake community.
Jamie enjoys watching sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three dogs. Jamie and her husband welcomed their son Luke in February of 2017.
Megan Allison, PA-C
Megan Allison is a NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant. She grew up in Forest, Virginia and completed her undergraduate degree at Liberty University with a major in Biology (Pre-Medicine concentration) and a minor in Psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Megan is passionate about dermatology and is excited to be practicing in her hometown. She also enjoys public speaking and is the author of four books. She is married to her husband, Ben, who is currently a law student at Liberty University School of Law.
Kamal Chantal, PA-C
He moved back to his home state of Virginia in 2006 and worked in orthopaedic/spine surgery until joining RidgeView Dermatology in January of 2017.
Kamal and his wife Alexis have 2 children. They enjoy cooking, gardening, and horseback riding as a family. He also enjoys playing golf.
Katherine M. Booth- Esthetician
Originally from California, Katherine relocated to Virginia 20 years ago. Upon moving to Lynchburg, she began working for a Swiss skin care company in sales, where she worked for 10 years, developing a love for the field of skin care. Later, after attending many skin care classes and ingredient training sessions, she decided to officially complete a degree in Esthetics and graduated from Miller Motte Technical College in 2008 with honors. Since then, she has completed over 300 additional hours of training in Washington, DC at the Dermal Institute where she was awarded with a certificate of Expert level. Katherine is very passionate about learning new treatments and remaining up to date with advances in technology. She takes pride in providing exceptional client care.
Mandy Wilkes-Hoffmeister, FNP-C
Mandy Wilkes-Hoffmeister earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2001, her RN diploma from Lynchburg General School of Nursing in 2007, and her Masters of Nursing from James Madison University in 2014.
Mandy is a Lynchburg native who enjoys gardening with her husband and 2 children.
